30 years ago a young man with big dreams left Hong Kong for London with hopes of making a living that would provide for his family.
With nothing but a backpack and some borrowed cash, he found himself in Chinatown, excited by the hustle and bustle of this colourful corner of London. It reminded him of home, and he wanted to be a part of it.
Alone in a foreign city, he found comfort and familiarity in the heart of Chinatown – his home away from home.
Taking his first job as a waiter, he stood outside the restaurant through all the seasons, persuading customers and earning every penny through sheer determination and hard work.
He learned every aspect of the restaurant business. His dedication and innovative ideas steadily propelled him forward until one day, he took a chance and became the proud owner of his own restaurant.
His establishment soon became known for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional food. Over time, his reputation as a talented restaurateur grew, leading him to open multiple successful restaurants.
His final and most cherished venture, The Golden Phoenix, stands as a testament to his journey. Through his leadership, the restaurant became more than a business – it became his legacy. He mentored young workers, inspiring them to pursue their own dreams, proving that passion and resilience pave the road to success.
